Purchasing An Air Rower Machine

Looking for a new sport or an exciting way to get fit, try an air rowing machine!  Whether you are at the gym or purchasing one for your home exercise room, a rowing machine could be the next thing to jump start your workouts!  Resistance rowing machines come in many different styles including hydraulic and air.  They create exercises that work your arm muscles, your leg muscles, and a combination of the two.  If you are in poor health, older in age, or have recently recovered from an injury, rowing machines may be exactly what you need to get back into great health.

When looking to purchase an indoor rowing machine there are two main types, air rowing machines and hydraulic rowing machines.  Air rowing machines provide the closest workout to actual rowing.  However, hydraulic rowing machines work through the use of tension between air flow and small amounts of fluid.  Because of this tension, hydraulic machines can be changed to have larger amounts of resistance manually and be individualized to meet your needs.  Both rowing machines can be used from the leg brackets or the arm bands only to focus your workout where you need it most.

The exercises for an air rower machine focus on stamina.  When an actual rower is out on the water, they need to last a long time while rowing to make it to their destination.  The longer they are able to row at one time, the faster and more accurate their speed will be.  The difference in using a machine from the real thing is the ability to use the workout to target the muscle group that you most need to work on.  By using only the leg brackets you can target the calf and thigh muscles, while using only the arm bands you can target the biceps, triceps, and forearms.

Stamina rowing machines are great for older adults and those recovering from an injury.  Unlike popular exercise equipment that requires heavy weights and standing on leg muscles that may not be very strong, rowing machines allow the different muscles to work to their ability.  Other muscles take over the extra work to give each muscles a workout to its full potential.  Older adults with knee, hip, and joint problems can use the arm bands to increase arm strength, as well as using the arm bands with the leg brackets to help strength their leg muscles.

No matter what your use for buying an air resistance rowing machine, you will always find a strenuous, but individualized workout.  The benefits exceed other forms of exercise, especially for older adults and those recovering from an injury.  Starting out on a rowing machine may be exactly what you need to succeed at becoming a healthier individual through exercise.
